i didn't ride it

didn't take the risk it might be so took the Street triple out instead.

did think the riding postion would be better for my aged knackered body but instantly got cramp. but in fairness it was a cracking bike to ride, and the exhaust note of the arrow can was top notch. it sat at 90mph without to much buffeting and cornered in fairness better than the daytona did today, but shitty roads and harder tyres would be the cause of that. it also got a LOT of looks when i stopped. A LOT!

i'd have been tempted had i rode it before getting the Daytona

I have a Street Triple.

A 2012, so not like the new one in your picture. I have noticed that it always draws a crowd when I park it. It's a bit of a mystery really. It's not exactly rare or exotic but people just seem to love it. Who knew? :smile

Thanks Diablere......

Seems to be some mixed reports on those little Triumphs, I've not seen one in the flesh yet.

Street TriplyR.never noticed it draw a crowd but then I hate stopping when out for a ride and usually only do when fuel is required.Don't like the look of the new(2013)model,looks like a Gladius with that fugly pipe and really naff subframe.Still each to their own if you have/lust over one.

Would love a go on a T-Bird Storm, how does it compare to Harley's and Victory's offerings?

The exhaust

seems to be the biggest bone of contention with the new bikes. in fairness i think we have just got used to the 916 effect of underseat exhausts and been brainwashed into thinking they are right.

the handling is excellent on both my 2012 daytona and the 2013 street triple.

the main difference i could tell from the underengine exhaust is the pitch, and how much more aware of it you are when your sat right on top of it. combine that with the arrow pipe and it was a fantastic sound.VERY VERY nice.

i'd be tempted to change just for that.
