Ducati still targeting podiums in 2013

Ducati believe it is not an unrealistic goal to be challenging for the podium in the second half of the 2013 MotoGP world championship, despite a tough start to the winter testing campaign. When preparations for 2013 kicked off in Sepang earlier this month, not one Ducati finished within two seconds of Dani Pedrosa’s best pace, with factory duo Nicky Hayden...

Deluded

Ducati are in a dreamworld here as they have been for several years. Stoner says he told them what needed fixed but they didnt listen. Rossi the same and now they are spouting the same crap as ever. Its like a politician saying we are going to have no employment. Not happening. Ducati wont get within a second a lap of the new aliens this year cos their idea of radical is some new bits but only jf they dont cost too much. They are still deluded that Stoner could win on it so the riders just need to adapt. Sorry ducati your biike won races with different tyres and mostly a different engjne. It also only won because casey was prepared to take huge risks with his life to do so. Look at how ofgen he crashed whilst leading. Rossi found if he rode it past what it was capable of he got hurt so said stuff this im not getting killed for this. Who can blaim him. Honda saying they're open to a Casey wild card makes me think they don't have any faith in pedrosa winning the championship this year so would like their bike to win in Japan at least (dont they own the track?). My guess is 2013 Lor to win Rossi second 2014 marquez first lorenzo second. 2015 repsol to be marquez and bradl.

Hmmm

The Ducati boys haven't been drinking in the same bar as Ben Fogle have they? It would explain a lot.

given Rossi kept binning it anyway

It wouldn't have hurt pushing a bit harder would it? As Gabbarini put it, the tyres won't let you push until you get heat into them, and they don't get heat into them until you push. No balls, and the way he gave up at the end was a disgrace.

I wish they would just concentrate on the job in hand. Instead of making predictions that no one can see happening.

Seems to have gone wrong when Stacey ordered a new frame 07-08 & dropped the scaffolding. That & the control tyre.

However you have to ´wonder about Rossi & Burges given that Honda are running the same engine config as Ducati. Pretty pathetis effort trying to make it like the M1 not the RCV.

Drop the current frame put it back in scaffolding or a beam. At least then the pilots will understand the feedback & the important bits can be moved about as required.

Careful weskit

You're starting to sound as bitter as Pacey.

Rossi kept binning it? One non score in the whole season. To put that in context Nicky had four, Barbera had five, and poor old Karel had eight.
