Anyone own a barn?

I have seen the old 80's jap bikes (that I grew up with) on eBay advertised as 'barn finds'. Incredibly one bike even had a photo of it covered in hay!! So it must be true. This, of course, means the bike is worth a great deal, from what I can gather.

What do people who own barns do? "I think I'll sort out that old barn of ours - wait a minute! What is that under the hay? Well dang me it is! It's an old <put your fave 70s or 80s bike here>".

Do me a favour! We have an old Honda NH80 Vision that has sat in the corner of the garage for nearly 20 years. Was going to bin it, but if I can hide it in someones barn I might be quids in .

Barn finders? Pah!

barns

i found an old vincent in a barn in county mayo in 1979 it wasnt the black shadow model but the alloy coloured engined version of the same bike, as it was now technically my barn [mother inherited it from relatives] i gathered everything i could find belonging to it, and sold it to a collector in salisbury wiltshire for the handsome fee of 775 quid, twenty three years later i saw the same bike at a classic show in bath, fully restored and valued at just shy of 11grand, now worth so much more, pity the impetuosity of youth, like you said pah barn finds.

My Brother has a barn.

We keep my Mother in it now.

We only found rat poo in it when he bought the farm.

Not many left...............

they've mostly been converted into posh homes for City folk who complain constantly about the noise & smells of the countryside.

They would appear to have swapped places with the Fox.
