not the lid

If you think a £40 flip-up helment is a good idea, you haven't got a head worth saving

Get your gear on.

All my riding gear over the years has been purchased from Lidl and I have found it to be perfectly good.I have had the misfortune to have been down the road and all the gear has saved me from any serious injury. I binned the helmet because it hit the road, it was not badly deformed or damaged, at £30 I replaced it with another from Lidl. It conforms with all the ECE regulations. In my opinion all the other gear at high prices is a rip off.

We're not aware of any distribution issues. Could you please let us know where you live and we'll look in to it.

Lidl thermals

I've read positive reviews of Lidl thermals in the press so I'm off hunting for a copy of MCN... No way I'd use helmets though. Gloves etc might be a worthwhile compromise if cash was really tight.

Not good enough?

While I would love to be able to spend hundreds of pounds on all of my bike gear not all of us can. If it has passed all of the required safety standards give it a go, at £40 for a legal lid it's got to be worth a go. The best helmet I have had in secent times has been an AGV long way round that only cost me £80. Would that be good  enough for some you your readers who think spending a lot of money makes them better in some way and imune to injury?

I have found that no matter how much I spend on gear it needs to be replaced after a couple of years, maybe these guys that spend thousands on bike gear to do 2 thousand miles in a good year can justify it but I can't so thanks Lidle and Motorcycle news I'll see you on the 28th.
