Oh dear u don't understand do you.....did burgess build those bikes?.....design them?.....the bloke does not develop anything....a mechanic does not develop.......burgess has said he is not an engineer and u need to be an engineer......it's the riders comments to the engineers on how it handles and what the feel is they want, then the ENGINEERS go away and make parts they hope will improve an area or cure some handling quirk that is developement...., they normally build a small amount of adjustment into the parts I.e swingarm pivot so the crew can make small changes if required to help traction or whatever according to what the rider or computer say's.....yep preperation......I could prepare a cake for cutting and eating (crew chief)..but I couldn't make it or develop the ingredients to make it fluffier, sweeter etc(engineer)

You're a bit awry with your comments Alex

Rossi was wanted by the marketing department, not the race department, who were all set to sign Spies again until things soured.

You're comments about Lorenzo not being able to develop the bike, that being the reason it is 'not as fast' as the Honda and needing Rossi back to do the job, not only serve as an injustice to the talent of Lorenzo, but Pedrosa as well.

Pedrosa won in the latter half of last season because he woked hard at it and was bloody fast. Lorenzo has helped keep the Yamaha at the front of the grid for the last 3 years and not finishing outside of second place all of last season suggests he is giving engineers what they need to keep the bike at the front. The difference was Pedrosa.

Your development king Rossi has spent the last 2 days complaining about not being able to get the right set up, something that should have been easy on the best handling bike on the grid for the 80 second set up duo.

Give Lorenzo and Pedrosa the credit they deserve. It really gets tiresome reading about how Rossi is the only rider with any talent to do anything.

What's this got to do with Stoner and V8 racing... ??

'Yamaha on the backfoot'?

'Alex'...............

A fit Dani is a bloody quick rider and raised his game when suddenly being No1. Fairplay to him. Stop erring toward the Honda being so(?) dominant or how would you explain  Yamaha and Hondas respective satellite teams results from the past season then bud?

Yamaha are nowhere close to being on the 'backfoot'.

These people who worship yellow sock will not ever give credit to another rider.....look at what they put to print!!!.....stoner apparently had the ducati, the best/fastest bike ever to adorn a race circuit because it was the only way he could have ever beaten rossi wasn't it...until the monday morning 2yrs ago when rossi when he threw his twig leg over to start domination on the ducati....then over night the bike is shit, that's what holding rossi back.....funny how it didn't stop stoner banging it on the podium nearly 50 times.....or the only reason lorenzo won was because he was on rossi's bike, riding on the back of his success.....give me a fukin break

Ok why is Rossi there? Personally fuck Rossi it should be cal on that bike or someone from moto 2. Every goes on about sponsorship, erm when the world champion can't get sponsorship, what's that about? And why waste our breath on the Ducati, its shit and its not getting better this season even if Buddha fucking rides it. I think dani will win but there is a question about his mental strength, things can niggle him and that happens a lot in bike racing and it always has, fogarty used to get into people's heads. Why didn't Yamaha pursue Marquez? Every one has an answer. And if you take a food analogy Michelle roux has 3 Michelin stars but he doesn't cook the food , he doesn't grow it either but he is still head chef and gets the accolade. Go talk to Michael doohan about the reason he was a winner and he will tell you it had a lot to do with jerry. I am a fan of Rossi but in equal terms I am also a fan of dani Jorge cal dovi Hayden et al.

Red Bull will be holding a "meet casey" evening at the Victoria Park street circuit in Adelaide this weekend. For the $1000 australian dollars asking price you get 5 minutes with the ex motogp Honda number 2 rider where you can share his babycham, comb his bush and leave with the word MUG tattooed on your forehead.

be careful what you wish for. If stoner remains in redbull's good books this  gives him a not all that tenuous continuing connection to motogp.

Please convince stoner he still needs to return to gp bike racing to prove something.

Doohan / Burgess combination had 5 years together before he won the title. Do you think that as with any rider / crew combination, the success is more attributable to the bike they are given by the factory being good enough and the rider being good enough to use it.
