Would you vote for this guy ?

http://news.uk.msn.com/comment-and-analysis/john-ofarrell-the-candidate-who-backed-argentine-fascists/

Whatever your feelings or opinion on the morals of the Falklands conflict do you think this man's a suitable candidate for the British Parliament ? I have my own doubts about Thatcher's actions at that time, it may have been a convenient conflict to boost her ratings but when push came to shove a job needed doing and, it was done by boots on the ground in the air and on the sea by British service personnel who deserved the support of the country and those who sent them into a conflict. This man in my opinion does not deserve to enter a British Parliament.

Unfortunately

there are people who will still continue to vote for one of the three main parties no matter how disastrous they are for this country. As for this idiot Ofarrell - kick the traitorous fucker out of this country with a one-way ticket to Argentina.

He's funny

his columns were always piss your pants funny but backing the Argies shows you don't know your history and you're happy to support an aggressor in a war started without declaration. There should always be a declaration of war prior to an invasion so as to give time to evacuate civilians from the area.

Also, to be upset that a human being wasn't killed is disgusting, regardless of popular opinion. The are some people who are animals, not human beings - paedos, etc. Regardless of what you thought of Thatcher, she didn't deserve killing. I watched a couple of her EU speeches and it's amazing how much of what she said in the 1990s about the EU has come true.

Labour are going to get in and it's going to be a catastrophe for this country. If the conservatives can't cut spending enough to stop our debt rising every year then Labour have no chance.

A recent analysis of the financial situation of this country leaves me to believe that we need to scrap Trident, abandon all on going military operations and withdraw all men and equipment, most likely fund the NHS using the insurance companies who can compete with each other on price (rather than making it compete with itself) whilst having to provide a basic package, and seriously look at dismantling the welfare state and starting from scratch. We also need to leave the EU and stop all international aid. These things need doing now and it may already be too late.

He was a writer

for spitting images, I loved the series for it's irreverence toward all politicians and other public figures but he crossed a line between irreverence and decency. The Argentinian military Junta was cruel & insidious bent on controlling it's own population by fear, intimidation and downright murder and this c**t supported that, god help Britain if he gets elected and Labour win the next general election.

Between a rock and a hard place

that's where the working folk of Britain are now. Labour wrecked it pre the coalition, as pads1982 said the Tories want to push the British back to where they believe they belong, limit their choices, movements and rights. Even if by a miracle at the next general election UKIP were elected to govern there's years of hardship in store for the British working public, all created by greedy grasping bankers and politicians of all three major parties.

Another vote of thanks to labour for the National Minimum Wage Act 1998. Thanks for that, and thanks for opening the UK borders to a multitude of EU migrants more than happy to work for that or less, £6:19 (currently) an hour compared to what a Romanian peasant used to get at home must be manna from heaven to them.  God help Britain, god help my sons & daughters in the future because no fecker in Whitehall will give a shit for them.

The

blokes a cunt as previously stated. No, I wouldn`t vote for him.

As for the people of Britain, I think their biggest fault is that that they generally expect too much. Too much keeping up with the Jones`s and the expectations of foreign holidays, new cars ect. I don`t know if this extends to other countries these days. I don`t see many people struggling. I see and hear plenty complaining though and its getting on my nerves.
Too many envious people who see rich folk and either hate them for being rich or just fret over why the hell they can`t be rich as well.
If you`ve got something to be unhappy about, then fair enough, but there`s always someone worse off. Thats what I`ve found anyways, and Iv`e been around for a long time!.

if it wasn't for the fact that I rely on the NHS to pay the excruciating £362 / month that my meds cost me (and that's at preferential rates the NHS gets for bulk buying) and don't pay for frequent visits to specialists and GPs I'd be out of this doomed, bankrupt country in a flash.

In America I might just earn enough to cover the costs but frankly I know I'm damned good at my job and they have doctors doing the stuff that I'm good at.

I might just be able to get by in Australia but given the costs of keeping me running, they'd probably not let me in - sensible folk.

So I'm left with this place which knows little of the true liberty that our grandparents enjoyed and where the government knows only how to tax tax tax whilst still needing to borrow stupidly AND counterfeit money (quantitative easing is counterfeit - if I did it I'd be nicked. The reason? Counterfeit is theft from everyone who owns a pound). This country is buggered unless it takes some serious action - I honestly think that we need someone more brutal than Thatcher to straighten things out.
