Lidl and Aldi bike gear

is in again soon, keep an eye on their websites, usually seems a handy budget option. Lidl's boots look to be more suited to cruiser riders than sports bikes though

Aldi Touring Boots

Most of the bike gear is garbage, I bought a thermal top and leggings and the stitching came apart within two weeks but there is one exception-the touring boots, £29.99, bloody brilliant, I wear them more than a set of overrated Altbergs.

They're toasty as well, like wearing a duvet on your feet and still in A1 condition after over a year of hard use.

pleased to hear that ...

about the boots johnrodgers because I'm wary of buying pvc type waterproof boots...they are usually fine for a while but the 'plastic' coating tends to split behind the reinforced areas where the foot bends on the bike and then they are useless....that's happened to both pairs of (quite expensive) commuting boots I've used. I'll admit I do favour more expensive known brands in boots, but for things like layers and socks etc... it's the cheaper stuff every time.
