still capable

250cc bikes ? i'd forgotten how much fun they are. fast enough round town, cheap to buy and run and capable of decent motorway hops. any 250 owners tell us why you chose it, pros and cons of a 250cc. or maybe you prefer bigger bikes.. thoughts please

HAd a GPX250R

Great bike.

Ended up doing a lot of triangles between middlesbrough adn staffordshire and essex; bit wearing on rider and bike. Then the rear shock went and was almost the bike's value to replace, so moved on.

250's

Grew up on them as you could have one on L-plates in my day.  I have many fond memories of the times I had on my RD250.  I might be tempted by another if the prices hadn't been pushed to silly levels by the classic brigade.
