Hi all

my 2002 fazer 1000 turns on fine all the lights come on etc but when i push the starter button i get nothing :upset: so i have to take the key in and out turn it on and off with the key and press the starter button on and off then it will come alive :wacko: it happend once 4 days ago then again today.. i use it every day and it is kept in a garage but its still very cold in the garage ! if that matters or not i dont no ?

allso today the heater fan came on and its freezing outside!

its had a full service 3 weeks ago .

Any ideas would be very appreciated.

It could be any of the safety switches preventing the engine to start,it could be a sticking starter relay solanoid switch,it could be a part corroded ignition switch connector block. 

Q,do the lights dim when pressing the starter button on no start?

and no start; what state is your battery in?
Batteries get a hammering in the cold.

As for the fan, what temp was the bike running at? If the bike was stood still, the fan will (should) come in (at low speed / standstill, there's no airflow through the radiator).
