Bleeeuuurrrgghghh!!!!!

Can anybody please explain what the fad is for massively wide rear wheels. They have so much rotating mass that acceleration is reduced. The rear wheel is so heavy that it compromises the suspension movement. The rear wheel is so wide that it massively, severely and staggeringly removes almost all ability of the bike to go round corners with any degree of control or speed.

Many of those custom bikes have had so much of their original ability ripped from them that they're nothing more than garage trinkets.

Fat tyres

if you aren't interested in performance, the performance loss is irrelevant.

Fat tyres became a fashion and got out of hand. Now, the fashion is over.

If you're wondering about the longer swingarms...some of those bikes are nitroused for street racing. The extra wheelbase helps.
