Suzuki plan five European tests of new 1000 MotoGP bike

The Japanese factory will also take part in two private tests this season as it plots a full-time return to the MotoGP world championship with a two-rider effort in 2014. Re: Hopper - would Suzuki realistically want to re-employ him ?  He's been top six in the past but never in my opinion a title contender. The poor guy is injury prone and crash prone plus he'll be 30 in May. He hasn,t raced in Motogp for at least 3 years and since 2008 has had at least 2 seasons out of racing. There might be a place for him as development/test rider but can't see him getting a competitive ride anywhere.

I doubt that any of the current aliens would be tempted to rider for Suzuki either.   Their best bet surely would be to employ an experienced rider like De Puniet or Espargaro and one of the best from Moto2 giving the top CRT boys a chance to move up to factory status and giving a fast Moto2 boy a chance to learn his trade in MotoGP.

Could Ben spies be biding his time at Ducati?. I doubt he,ll stay there more than 1season,Suzuki should've signed him for 2011 but shot themselves in the foot by keeping Bautista ,if spies had been on the gsvr he would've been a top 5 or 6most races

''if spies had been on the gsvr he would've been a top 5 or 6most races''

On the M1 and with his perceived alien status Spies should have been top 3 most races. His 2012 season goes down as being probably the most catastrophic fall from grace in the history of the series. I admire his guts in sticking with Motogp tho' .....  he can't have a worse season on the Duck than he had last year on the Yam.

hope Suzuki return

IMHO Suzuki could put the wind up Ducati in the tests this year. With a decent rider next year they could be fighting for top six. If money's tight Edwards would be a good bet. Cal would probably jump at it once hes free in 2015 if they were allowed to enter as a factory team.

Or

Hayden has no contract for next year. If he can keep The Duke shiny side up as he has done for the last few years he'd be a good best to do well on the Suzuki. He wasn't getting whipped by rossi so it's pretty obviously he hasn't forgotten how to ride

spies

if you saw him finish and ride the way he did on the one of the best packages out there, after a long lay off would you really want him on your bike? ask yourself that.

Spies?

Susuki wont go near him. I reckon they will get Hayden and someone from moto2. Maybe even the winner of wsbk. Unless Ben turns water in to wine this season not a fuggin chance. To much talent else where.
