What is stopping you from heading out on an adventure?

This week’s MCN featured Ian Coates, a 69 year-old great grandfather. Ian left home 14 years ago on what was supposed to be a four-month trip. He and his Africa Twin have just returned to the UK after a 250,000-mile ride across six continents. So what is stopping you from chucking it all in and heading out on your very own...

You'd

have to extract my brain from my broken body and put it into a bike.

That'd be quite cool - before entering anyone's house you could do a burn out on the welcome mat to "wipe your feet".

Plus they'd not be able to charge tax on fuel as it's effectively food.

This is sounding good, actually.

Usual excuses:  Wife, kids, work.  My new Versys tourer is more than up to the challenge, but I think disappearing for a jolly for two weeks is a bit unfair on the family!  Now, if I was a motorcycle journalist......
