Garage invasion!

Someone has been through my garage opening all my boxes but looks to have taken a drill and that's it. There was plenty of other stuff to nab but they've taken only the drill.

I was at work with my bike so I assume they've gone for the bike, found it not there and had a quick look round for anything of value. They missed most of the good stuff.

The question is - my bike needs protecting. Hypothetically, would one get into trouble if a couple of flashbangs and a smoke grenade went off were the bike moved? Legally obtainable pyrotechnics, we're talking but 180+dB to alert me and screening smoke.

EDITED for spelling

Cute but

Not if it's attatched to you by it's Teeth!!

I've heard of some form of alarm that fires off blank shotgun cartridges if disturbed, think you may be in trouble if it damages the burglars hearing though. Mind you, if it did, he wouldn't be able to hear the cops (or anything else) coming:winkie:

Shit Phil

it's a bad feeling knowing some thieving scummer's been in your property. Myself I'd wrap up warm tonight, take some food and warm drinks into the garage, make myself comfortable and sit there tonight with something hard and not too heavy to hand, the sort of thing you would find in the garage, darken the house and wait :ph43r:

The law is an ass and is more likely to pursue you through the courts than any scum bag who gets hurt while attacking you  but the satisfaction of damaging one thief may be worth it but be sure THEY attacked you on YOUR property

A good equaliser is a 3 cell Maglite minus the batteries, the weight of the batteries makes for a slower swing but make sure to put the end cap on, the serrations leave a nice pattern  you put the batteries back in 'after'

Maglight

I don't need a maglight to equalise the situation. It is more than equalised.

As for the trip wire and blank 12 gauge shell - they're a tenner for the mine and a tenner for a bag of shells. I am tempted by it.

EDIT: Oh and last rotty I came across wanted to eat me. It was still cute.... as I was slowly and carefully retreating.
