Goodbye R6.... hello ZX6R

After 8 years with my 2001 R6, I decided it was time for something different.  Would've loved an 09 ZX6R, but with children and a house to do up, I put my sensible hat on and went for something cheaper.  It only cost me just over £200 more than I got for the R6 and has nearly half the mileage at 12,000.

Yep, very nice indeed!

How do they compare? (Bit early to tell, perhaps?)

Compared to the R6

It is a little early to fully appreciate the differences, but so far the 636cc engine definitely has more grunt throughout the rev range and it is more track-focused too.

The radial brakes are awesome (helped by new braided hoses, EBC HH pads and fresh fluid).

Looking forward to April when I can test it properly on the first track day of the year!

Now.... where's the sunshine?!?
