Road conditions... pot holes

I live in Bromley south London and I swear we have the worst roads around. (I lived in Leeds on a cobbled street for 3 years and they were in better condition than here)

There is one road I ride along, not a particularly long one that must have over 200 holes or patches in a distance of less than 1 mile.

I have lived in Australia and Thailand for about a year and on an island in Thailand they have better road conditions than here. Even on the mainland covering vast distances the condition out there is far superior to here. The only comparable place in condition of the roads is Cambodia. If you think I am joking I am not.

Where do people reckon the worst council roads are?
Is there anything we can do about it?
