Valentino Rossi impressed by ‘beautiful’ Circuit of the Americas

Valentino Rossi might have been slowest on the opening day of the private Honda and Yamaha MotoGP test at the new Circuit of the Americas yesterday, but it didn't stop the Italian from falling in love with the long and technical Texas circuit. On a first day dominated by a lack of grip, Rossi ended fifth behind Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa,...

and there we have it

Rossi makes a few banal remarks about a circuit and the fanboys are already out gushing with praise.

There there weskit..

..One day, hopefully soon, when you grow out of this bitter resentment and make the transition to a proper race fan, you'll be sorry you were unable to enjoy and appreciate a GP legend basking in the golden autumn sunshine of a truly great career.

Who cares whether he wins the title or not? It's just fantastic to see him back on a good bike in with a shout of stirring the pot up again.

Did you get bullied much at school?

Rossi looks deflated to me..

His demeanour after Sepang 1 was very different to these recent tests, particularly the interview he gave yesterday. It looks as though he's realising the task ahead isn't quite as straightforward as he may have intially thought, and the results so far are backing that up. I appreciate there's still a long way to go ( keep your knickers on Wosi ) but at the moment he's lacking the swagger that's needed to fight for wins. Bradl, Crutchlow and Bautista ain't gonna make it any easier for him either..

New track testing & Rossi

Its nice to see Rossi finally enjoying riding again after his Ducati disaster.Im sure he will be competative in the races to come & will be running with the top dogs once again.

After reading the above it makes me wonder how the other riders who havnt had the privallage of testing on this track will fair against those who have. Its a shame that money dominates this sport & privallages can be bought for the few.

Perry makes a good point. GP audiences were tiny in the Doohan era. They grew a lot in the Rossi era. They’re now a lot smaller again. It’s there in the attendance figures at the track and in the TV audiences. And it’s a big problem for the sport.

I think Suzi Perry has point too. You cant knock the opinion of someone who had access to paddock life for 13 years, I read some where once that other journos got the hump with her because she got more access to the riders because they liked her style of interviewing.
