This is being discussed on most..........

of the biker forums with no definitive answer.

Some of the posters who live in France say they know nothing of this law, while others say it has been in place since the '80's/'90's but never enforced.

Some manufacturers say applying anything to their helmets will weaken them.

Shark helmets

come with the correct stickers for you to apply. There's even pictures to show you where to stick them to comply with the proposals.

I didn't stick mine on. My passport has run out. They're very expensive. I shall have to save up.

Yes, probably just another.........

silly proposal that'll get squashed by the French bikers.

Somebody posts this bunkum on one forum & within a day or two it's everywhere.

Just another Euro scam

Just like the Spanish cops who are ultra egar to fine British motorists ( a fave trick is to flag bikers oncoming and when the bike turns around they nick you crossing over the solid centre line ) This is a nasty way to fleece  law abiding travellers who are just making their way to their destination .If  I`m nicked for something petty by the Spanish ,French or any other eu cop a vehicle from that country gonna get it when I`m back home .
