KS,

That is beautiful! If you ever get down to Kent try a visit to Lydden Circuit. They have a lot of classic racing there. Smallish track but great views all the way round. Mr B and I love watching and the sound and smell takes you right back. They really race too. They're not just there to look pretty.

affordable and desireable bikes

Never owned a ducati so the 998, 1198, Ducati Streetfighter and Ducati Hypermotard appeal somewhat. The new 1290 superduke is also a bike I'd deffo consider getting as is the KTM 690 SMC.

A tuned RGV 500 (RG500 engine in either a spondon beam frame or a modified RGV 250 one) has been on my shortlist for some time aswell but chances of getting that at an affordable price are diminishing quickly.

That said though I upgrade my spondon from time to time and that generally stops me lusting after any other bike.
