Yamaha confirm new gearbox ‘under development’

Yamaha has confirmed it does have a new seamless shift gearbox under development in Japan, but gave no indication of when reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi will race it. There has been some doubt about whether a seamless shift system was being worked on by Yamaha, with both Lorenzo and Rossi kept in the dark about development plans...

While I am at it did you notice how close Crutchlow is to the factory bikes?
Are you still saying the bike is nowhere near the same spec?
You really no nothing about what goes on.

Yes Buell

I did notice Crutchlow's time

I also noticed Dovi's time, which was 0.067s behind Pedrosa - are you saying that the Honda and Ducati are at the same performance level?

Re: your earlier question, I didn't infer or say anything about yesterday's times but as you asked, I think they have as much relevance (or lack of) as today's, which are  almost 1s off last year's Jerez test best time, as well as 2011 race weekend lap times on 800 bikes

I think your reason for posting today's times is clear from a couple of your posts below

answer please

You constantly critcise me for not answering questions yet you do exactly that your self.
I think you get a bit puddled at time.
Do you still think Crutchlows bike is last years spec?
Regarding Dovi I reckon he did very well but as some know the bike has a problem with full race distance.
Rossi's time today was quicker than Jorge's pole last season.
Can't compare 800 times.

Sorry, I thought my comparison of times with Dovi/Pedrosa gave the answer.

Evidently not, so yes I do because that's what he said and neither Yamaha or Poncheral have publicly refuted this as far as I know.

So let me get this straight, because Cal's time is right on the pace of the two factory bikes in just one test (when he has been tenths slower in others) it's because he is on a factory spec 2013 bike? If Lorenzo is half a second quicker by the end of tomorrow's test, what does that mean?

You think what you want I could not care less but I can assure you you are not always right and what you read and hear is not always right.

Instead of coming out with this baseless 'I know better' crap why don't you substantiate why you think that Cal is on a factory spec 2013 bike - In other words how do you know this?

Cal has reiterated again following yesterday's test that he doesn't have the same level of equipment.

So why do you disagree with this? On what basis?

That's a straightforward question for you

ok

First of all I never said it was exactly the same bike but it there is very little difference in the bikes at this point in time.
I know because I still hear a lot about what goes on in the Moto GP paddock.
I spent years in and around these paddocks and still know plenty people involved in the sport.
Some of the things I hear may not always be true but usually there is a lot of truth to them.
More than I can say for the news papers and some of the stories on the net.

By the way what was Jorge's pole time for Jerez last year?

And where did you read that it rained later in the day yesterday?

Track conditions were wet as the riders took to the track in the morning, but improved drastically as the test went on, drying out by the end of the day.
