The scooter concept weighs 140kg has a 50mph top speed and nearly 40mile range on a full charge and takes just two hours to full charge...

I can't see KTM risking their reputation by producing 'shoddy merchandise'

Like their motorcycles, Honda's scooters stand comparison with anyone, KTM, presumably, will be the same

Why wouldn't they?

The answer must surely be why wouldn't they? Most other motorcycle manufacturers have produced 125cc run abouts without affecting their sportsbike/ superbike range.

Er....why wouldn't they???

Pointlessly odd question.

I don't see any possible reason it would make a blind bit of difference. It's about market share, diversification and exploiting popular market sectors be them new or existing ones.

All the japs make bikes and scooters and by and large it's the scooter sales that pay for the bikes development so this question means it's a slow news day in my opinion.

If they're worried about their brand identity perhaps they could badge it as a Husqvarna, since that name is already on leaf blowers and lawn mowers!
