Cal Crutchlow fastest on final day of 2013 MotoGP testing

Cal Crutchlow ended the 2013 MotoGP pre-season in the best way possible after the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider topped the timesheets on the final day of testing in Jerez. The British rider set a best time of 1.39.511 late on the final afternoon to lap marginally quicker than factory Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi’s best lap of 1.39.525 that the Italian...

Amazing! Well done lads....

7 replies after my post and no mention of Stoner vs Rossi or who brain or cock is bigger/better! Only mention of Stoner by CCB purely in context re: Spies defeat in the last seconds of Valencia 2011. ***** 750flyer (nice bike btw) great idea..... now it's up to you to think of 18 ways to wind Cal up and post them to Herve'.... ha ha. ***** Buell, surely everyone misses "elbows" the web warrior but I just don't know if he can show his face / avatar on this site again. Big respect for a fan of the guy who isn't winning every weekend. What we really need is a bit of Texasrp back for a guest appearance. She was a force for good. Come back Texas tell us what your thinking?

I think for Cal having Dovi as a team mate last season has really helped, Cal learnt a lot from Dovi and its a shame Dovi is not on a factory yamaha now - he really should be because he worked very hard and got the results last year, no justice for results - hopefully for him & motogp can do well on the Ducati - it would be great to see.

Ive been a big supporter of Dovi for afew years now, he a much maligned rider and very under rated.

But heres the thing, a 9 time champion like Rossi doesnt lose it over night like his results at Ducati suggested. Stoners huge turn around in fortune pointed the finger firmly in the direction of the Bike,

Yamaha with the reigning world champ dont need another nearly but not quite man like Dovi in the team, what could he bring to them?  Rossi on the other hand ,a sleeping giant of the sport with his massive fan base could support the team and still be a threat for the title.

As a team manager it wouldnt have been a difficult choice for me.....

A pleasure

It's been a pleasure to read the comments on this thread. Not a single slagging has been dished out and opinions are being given some respect. Speaking of which it's great to see Cal topping the timing sheets on the final day of pre season testing. It should give him a nice big psychological slap on the back and serves everyone notice that the Honey Badger is a threat to be taken seriously.

We already knew Cal was fast as , lets hope he can concentrate for the length of a  race . Dovi ought to be on a factory Yam or Honda as well , only thing he had against him last year was his biggest fan who did nothing to cultivate any like for a brilliant rider .Looking forward to this season , wonder how many wet races there'll be?

Don't agree Rich. You would swap any of the current 4 factory riders with Dovi, given past records, and current times?
