London - The capital of culture

A colleague from London's fair city called for a chat today.

He'd been up to Glasgow on business for a few days & said what a pleasure it had been.
Everywhere he went, Airport, Taxi, Hotel, Restaurant, shops, were Glaswegians.

He had really enjoyed being surrounded by all those people, obnoxious as they can be, but who could all speak a form of English.

A lot of people

can't understand why the UK is short of oil

It's a simple answer --- nobody bothered to check the oil level ---- nobody knew the levels were low --- it's purely geographical ---- our OIL is in the North Sea --- our DIPSTICKS are in Westminster :upset:

...is a terrible place, full of swearing knife wielding madmen?

My old chum thought it to be a great place to live with very minimal problems from the immigrant criminals fraternity.
