Hi gramarye

I can give you some information on this item.

It is clearly made by Belstaff and is probably quite old (as designated by the term 'Vintage').

If you look carefully it should have at least two arms. If you find it has legs then it is probably not a coat but a pair of trousers ('legs' and 'arms' can be easily confused but a trick of the trade is to consider the length...legs tend to be longer than arms ...unless your name is Gungerdin or you are a simian primate).

You can usually tell the colour of a Ironhyde trenchcoat simply by looking at it ..if it looks black it is probably black .

To see if it fits, simply try it on ..if you are unable to do up the buttons/zip it is probably too small (or you may have it on back to front ...the buttons/zip normally go at the front).

Hope this is of help.... if you require more information let me know and I will direct you to where you can purchase my book - 'Vintage Belstaffs - Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask'.

Alternatively you could always look on the Vintage Belstaff Owners Forum'

Or try purchasing the DVD - 'The Joy of Vintage Belstaffs'

Bugger

I've just realised why my vintage denim jacket won't fasten. Come to think of it I've also realised why the arms on it are a bit long.
