Should I give up biking ?

Hi,

Been riding bikes on and off for about 27 years now. Being bombarded with horror stories of bad motorcycle crashes/deaths by media and friends. Should I give it up ? Wanted to go touring this year in UK on my Z50 K

Que?

Why even ask?

If you want to give up, then give up.
If you want to tour, then tour.

Who knows what the future holds?  You might get run over by a bus tomorrow, I might win the lottery tonight.

nah

if you have to ask then clearly you are not yet ready for it to stop, many of us on this forum have lost dear friends and even relatives to biking, but like everyone says you could be dead in the morning after choking on a chicken bone, even something more sinister could happen , embrace it with all its faults and fears, at least you go out , having done it.

Don't

understand questions like these?? If you've been riding for that long you know the risks. You're always going to be more vulnerable on a bike, but you know that! If you've stopped enjoying it, maybe you should give up. If not go have fun on your tour.

Same here, heard the same old stuff since I got my first one at 17.
54 now, still here, unfortunately all the one's who warned me how dangerous biking is are now all dead through cancer.
