insurance rip off

Just got back to UK from Spain.

Waiting for me was the insurance renewal for my Wing.

£726 last year..............renewal £805. I had no claims. Never claimed in all the years riding, 40+ yrs

So did the search, Got better terms and cons  for £ 132.

What the flip is going on. Is it me.

What, why is there such a massive differance.

AND dick head me why did i pay £ 700+ last year.

Of course you lot have got the best deals going.......or have you.

Tell me:mad:

now i shop around every year, ive been had a few times over the years, never again, the insurers do your first year as new business [cheap] then sting you the following year, loyalty means nothing to these tight wad skinflints i tell every body to at least shop around  and invariably they get better deals.

Insurance Brokers, business that shits on and penalises it's existing customers, go figure.....what other line of business could get away with that type of work ethic apart from politicians.

Both are scum in my book

quoted today.......

Got a renewal quote from Carole Nash today.... £166.50 fc  on my 954 blade.. Got the meerkats to look for me.... £110.00 for likewise cover!!!

There's no loyalty for staying with one insurer... They offer a good price first year and hope youll auto renew the following year assuming they are the cheapest again,.....

Brokers

I used to have a great broker.  They checked all of the insurance companies every year, and always came back with a good deal.  Looking myself, I couldn't better them.

It is the companies themselves that try it on.  Pain in the ass.

They rely on laziness

Go Compare or similar is your friend.

Also often works, for me at least, to call current and ask if they can match best price found. Renewed this year with current company, £30 cheaper than the renewal quote they sent and cheaper than their on line price. Not sure I can get it much lower, only paying £85 fully comp...
