Rossi motivated to reach Lorenzo and Pedrosa level

Valentino Rossi reckons the challenge to once again battle Spanish duo Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa for victories in MotoGP is one of his big motivations in 2013. One of the intriguing aspects of this weekend’s first race in Qatar will be to see Rossi’s potential now he is back on a factory Yamaha YZR-M1 in an attempt to recapture former...

some confusion

on your part as well perhaps hello.

The Clipsal 500 will be raced in the afternoon Australian time, which is early morning GMT, not that it being a V8 supercar race any fan of gp bike racing would watch it at gunpoint.

The Qatar "night" race is at an ungodly hour on Monday morning Australian time, but was on Tuesday morning the time it rained. I don't know what time they are running the  regular TV broadcast Australian time, presumably it will still be live.

Enough with the rats

I'm excited enough with the motogp start in a couple of hours. Don't need to be teased with furry little rodents too.

Side stepping all the rat crap

the bigger question this year is will the current world nr.6 be able to maintain his station in the face of hungrier opposition?

Bradl and Bautista with a years experience and data under their belts, an angry Crutchlow determined to turn his speed into points and Corse who will undoubtedly improve now they have a lead rider prepared to do the hard yards to improve the bike?

A tough ask for a rider used to easier times, and more privileged advantages.

Bring back the rats

This another prediction you'll be denying in 12 months time Nostro?

Bradl and Bautista are second tier riders that will, or would have, never won a motogp title regardless of what bike they got. Whether you like Rossi or not, they're not in his league.

Cal seems to have the speed, but he won't beat any of the top 4 (VR, JL, MM, DP) in a scrap.

DogBert - Bradl (IMO) is not 2nd Tier.  He's only had one season which by all accounts for a rookie was pretty impressive.  Being ahead of VR in the COTA tests re-affirms my belief that this fella is on for a podium by Le Mans.  he has a good attitude too.  He's on top equipment and is rated by Honda bosses (they wanted him there in Austin).  Expect surprises this year.  And it would be interesting to see Cal in a 1:1 with any of the top 3 (plus VR as not proven this year yet)...
