No matter what you think of Qatar, it is cool to see the bikes and riders under the bright lights the first time they turn a wheel in competition...

The Yamaha's definitely seem to have a small advantage when the conditions are unsure and tricky, although I have no doubt Marquez and Pedrosa will be up there come qualifying. Less than a tenth of a second separating the top 3, and a brilliant ride by Cal to get in-between the two factory riders, his bike can't be all THAT bad! My heart hopes it will be a close come Race and Qualifying

Great ride

from Cal, fingers crossed for him tomorrow, Espargaro has done really well, one for the future. Hope Bradley can stay in front of Spies and Iannone tomorrow, to be in with a shout. Have to say it, VR looks comfortable on that Yam.

Come

On Nostro where are you with your wise words of wisdom. Or should I say negative words What a good opening session it was tonight. The 3 yam boys are only separated by 0.027 of a second. We know the Hondas will get up there as the weekend goes on. Looks like this year will not disappoint

Excellant to see a crt up there causing problems for some of the prototypes, hope he can keep it up tomorrow and sat, would be funny to see a last ditch battle of the prototypes throwing in their softs to try and make it in to qualli 2

Will be interesting to see the times improve as they settle on settings ( still a way of last years qualifying times today). All looks to be shaping up for a good year tho, bring on sunday and the Monday hangover!
