First bike for a little lady? CG125? Van Van? Alternatives???

Afternoon folks

Wondered if I could tap you for some advice perhaps?

My wife is taking her CBT next weekend (first time on a bike, apart from as a pillion).
I'm looking for a bike for her.
She is only 5'1" & weighs just less than 8 stone, so it would have to be something fairly light (& ideally easy to ride & reliable). It won't be doing mega-mileage, just something to get some experience on for a while.

Not wanting to spend a fortune, around £1000 tops. (If something was really decent, I could go a little higher).
Although she is fairly careful, as a first bike, it is liable to get dropped :-/
I have seen a few CG125S & also Suzuki Van Vans (which the CBTriding school has).

Any thoughts/advice?
Are either of these a better option, or is there an alternative that I've missed?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated

Cheers

Johnny

p.s. I did see a HMC Classic/Classic S review in MCN. Is it worth spending the extra for a new bike???

First bike

I think that if she gets on well with one of the School bikes that's the way to go to help her build her confidence.

First bike..

Hi there

Thanks for your advice.
She likes the GN125, so could be that, or something similar.
Cheers
