Anyone use a K&N air filter?

I ordered one today, just wondering what your opinions are.

k n N

bandit runs better with k n n, no difference apart from better air flow and not having to replace air filter..maybe put one on zzr later on this year..

fitting K&Ns

Do they go into the airbox where the original filter is, or do they screw on in place of the top cover of the airbox?

K&N.

I think with cars there are more options but on bikes they drop or slot in as a direct replacement.

K &N

they drop in, well on bandit they do but you have to remove the rubber inlet hose as the k n n is slightly deeper and it wont sit flush in the air box.

Barney...

they should be a straight swap. Take your old paper one out and drop the new cotton K and N in.I didn't alter anything on mine. And yes it was the longevity that appealed to me too.

filters n stuff.

must be the early bandits, the rubber inlet hose that was at the bottom of the airbox wont go back in due to the top of the (underside) k and N fouling it.  I put shelf units up in workshop then looked and the zzr, i kinda accidentally blocked her in..oopsy!  managed to swing her around on the 4x4 hi lift jack..battery on trickle..hope to fire her up later..
