Andrea Dovizioso surprised at Ducati speed

Italian Andrea Dovizioso threatened to pull of the first major shock of the 2013 MotoGP world championship in Qatar last night when he battled for a top three position in free practice. The former 125GP world champion put his factory Desmosedici GP13 into the top three in the late stages of last night’s third practice session, which saw the top 10...

Hmmm ... 0.25 back from the very rapid Crutchlow and 0.01 back from Pedrosa. A second row start is pretty okay for the cool Dovimeister on a GP12. He rocks!!!!

ABOUT TIME

Only a proper dickhead would think Hayden was a "winner",and yet he and Rossi were equally crap on the Ducati,Hayden still is ofcourse. So all that was needed was a decent rider to show that Ducati were still a force to be reckoned with, the last 2 year`s have been a disaster  for them. But it was of their own making, they employed 2 has been`s,1 because of his passport and 1 because they believed all the hype.        So now they`ve got a good rider,he ain`t no Stoner, but he`s pretty damn good, and what a difference having a decent pilot make`s. Rossi must be embarresed beyond belief. Funny as fck!

Ducati?

The Ducati is obviously a very badly designed bike it needs a new engine, new frame, new everything. What a terrible bike it is – alternatively because it was nearly third in qualifying maybe, just maybe it is not actually 'wrong', just different. It is very difficult to fix something that is not actually 'wrong'.

Qatar

Let's not get to carried away, Qatar is the odd one out, sand all over the place, maybe it's just suiting the Ducatis, we'll know more after the race, which should be the most interesting for a long time. It's what happens in Europe that's going to be the judge of the Ducatis.

Great to see Cal in this form, let's hope he can keep it together tomorrow, and that Bradley can stay in the top 10.
