As they've said, little by little. It was an improvement on last year, the gap to the front was smaller. That's better, not the same and not worse.

No-one said he was going to win, no-one said he was going to beat Rossi. Dovi won't win a race anyway, no matter what bike he's on as he's just missing that tiny little last bit of whatever it is he needs. They're hoping to get it good enough to challenge for a podium towards the end of the season. Being given the no.1 status within the team may extract a bit more out of him, who knows, but I'd not put money on it. If they can make it a podium challenger regularly, then they may attract some interest from other, better riders in the future.

I've no idea what your contention is here.
