DVLA.....

can't tell their arse from their elbow.

I sold my VFR a month or so a go, sent off all the relevant paperwork to the DVLA informing them of the new owner etc, one week later I receive a receipt thanking me, saying they've updated their records......So guess what gets posted through the letter box on Saturday.......Yep, a Tax renewal form for it ...WTF

Sounds like the new owner /buyer has not sent off  the registration document for the change of ownership.Q, have you proof of sale just in case you get a speeding fine for this bike?

jaffa mate

I sent off all the required documents, the new owner kept the "New Keeper's Details"(not to be sent back to DVLA), I do have a receipt, a PayPal deposit as it was sold through ebay.

DVLA know not what the Fcuk they're doing,
so in answer to your question Rog, one word, NO

I

bought a car from a dealership end of Jan, received from DVLA, new log book, three weeks later get a letter stating I am no longer the new keeper.

Rang them, chocolate fire guard is of more use, eventually I got it sorted but what a bunch of unhelpful twats, Semtex comes to mind.

wouldn't worry, bin it

1. You've got their confirmation that you sold it

2. Tax renewals probably batch printed in advance so already in process when you told them

just return to sender with a copy of the acknowledgement

Don't knock the DVLA, better all those Welsh people are there than on the dole :ph43r:
