Video: Shark Helmets Extreme Experiment

Shark helmets have unveiled a new video to show the claimed energy-absorbing properties of their new Speed-R and Race-R Pro Carbon helmets. Recreating a Netwon's Cradle device experiment (designed to show Newton's first law of motion), they show how much the new helmets disappate energy using... err.. stuntmen's heads!

Shark helmets

What a stupid video. Are they saying all bike riders have heads like wood? I've bought the only shark helmet I'll ever buy (openline flip up) wouldn't buy another one. Go over 60 and it makes a noise like a howling dog. Returned it to Shark to repair, they cleaned it and sent it back saying nothing wrong with it. I thought maybe it's my screen interacting with the helmet, so put on a touring screen, still howling, eventually bought another bike, still howling. I couldn't wear it for a long trip it's so noisy,  would have to use my 5yr old Shoei. Whatever helmet I buy next it won't be a Shark.

Very clever and amusing advert

Well done the the production company.

I'm unlikely to ever buy a Shark hat because I've never seen them do well in magazine comparison tests, most have never suited my eye aesthetically and Foggy used to race with one!
