Hating Harleys

or sportsbikes is like people who eat either cheeseburgers or chickenburgers hating one another; there's room enough for both and you can like both - but you gotta accept that they're different and criticising one for lacking the features of the other is a misnoma

I bought this one earlier this year. I've still got my GSXR but I've always liked certain Harleys. Not really had a chance to use it much due to the cold weather, but on the couple of times I've been out it just feels a bit special. It might be slow and agricultural, but it's got a feel-good factor that's hard to explain

The unfortunate reality

If you like spirited riding then harleys are nigh on a death sentence waiting to happen (they can't really do corners or stoppping and the riding position isn't really very comfortable - I know of many former riders who aren't with us anymore because they tried to open the throttle on a Harley on twisty roads). If that side of riding is a distant memory and you're only ever going to chug along then a Harley might be your thing.
