I hate St George's day

It always reminds me that I have forgotten that tomorrow is my wedding anniversary.

It's not a bank holiday. In fact I wouldn't have known it was St George's Day other than seeing the post on here. I'm not English anyway, but I do live here.

FYI

English = Aengle-Cyn = the relatives of those who can speak the language of the Aengles; which ought to make immigration policy more interesting.

BTW, Saint George was a Greek soldier in the Roman army who never even visited Britain; he was executed by the Romans for heresy. The story of the dragon didn't appear until the Church sought to amalgemate indiginous myth into its history so wrote George as a Dragons slayer to re-write Thor vs Jormungandr in Saxon lands or to re-write Apollo and Pytho the Drakon in mediteranian lands; both of which draw upon Belerathon and Chimera.

Wasn't st George Turkish

As well as being the patron St for 17 diferent country's , wasn't ST George Turkish?......and a Turkish Muslim at that and not a Christian?

Besides, Greek or Turkish he never steep foot anywhere near England this green and pleasant land
Can't we have some one who is actually uniquely English like say, Robin Hood. That's if he actually ever existed at all,but at least he's nearer to being an actual Englishman.
What a confused lot we are:lol:
