Andrea Dovizioso waiting on Ducati upgrades

Andrea Dovizioso says all he can do is be patient and push at 100% while waiting for a series of upgrades to be rolled out by Ducati’s factory MotoGP squad later in the season. Small updates for the Desmosedici GP13 machine might be forthcoming at the French Grand Prix in Le Mans next month but bigger changes to try and solve...

3rd stone from the Sun

Honda L4,Yamaha transverse4,Ducati L4 in the space of 2.1 seasons. The bloke's nothing if not adaptable. Ducati revisions ? Well, naught since the massive changes over the past 2 seasons and nothing to show for the effort. On the other hand Dovi has been qualifying unexpectedly well. The Austin race showed many positives even with last years bike. Probably a one off . The European outings upcomming will be tougher. All Dovi can do is watch, wait and beat the other 3. Focus on beating Valentino's Ducati non-achievements is a neat target in the interim. Hope it don't rain in Jerez. Remember 2011.

By mid season Ducati will hopefully be out of the orbit they were lost in over the past 2 seasons and headed back to planet earth.

Qualifying

Without wishing to rain on anybody's parade or set a certain someone off on one,Dovi isnt really doing anything thus far that Hayden didnt do last year. In 2012 Hayden qualified 5th and finished 6th,then qualified 3rd and finished 8th in . So how is Dovi's perfomances really any better than that? He may go on to improve but he certainly hasnt set anything alight as of yet.

calling weedy Munchkin Nostro - last year's world no. 6 is the current world no. 4  -  11 points behind the current no. 1.  Wouldn't you have been proud to be last year's no.6 ?   Oh sorry you weren,t good enough.     Only wobbled round in an amateur N.Z. series then went travelling.(fishing).

Bootsie and Snudge - re: your comment on the Marquez thread - MM will not have a tough time emulating Stoner - he's already better than him.  Stoner won 2 WC's in 6 years - nothing in the feeder classes!  MM has emulated Rossi in winning 2 WC's in each class on his way to ''the big one''  and is about to embark on a mission which will give him 5 back to back titles in the next 6 years.

A cheap comparison

MM has been given the sliver spoon ride trhough the smaller classes with the very best equipment and support that most can't even dream of.

How can you compare that to the path CS took to get into top class racing.

I thought you knew better.
