DID chain riviter

I am going to buy a DID cain can anyone recommend a chain riviter other than the expensive km500 DID tool.I am a little dubious of the cheaper versions and would like some advice on buying a cheaper non DID tool. Do they work is the simple question or are they as some reviews suggest a waste of money.

regards

vic

Riveter.

I asked a similar question some time back. I bottled it in the end and didn't get one.

Reviews for all sorts of chain splitters/riveting tools are mixed, and as said, it's probably because if you misalign the tool you break it (-operator error, not tool failure).

If you get one let us know how it goes.

Chain riviter

Are you just buying a chain? What about the sprockets? Are you talking a soft link to join the chain?

There are loads on ebay

personally i would go for a kit like this as with all tools you get what you pay for ...... i normally use a drift/ punch to rivet the link over on my drive chains .....have used one of these kits before on camchains though
