Digital speedo crazy speed readings!

Wonder if anyone can help, I have an Acewell digital speedo on my 95 Bandit 600 and it started playing up yesterday.

First the speed reading started jumping, usually when accelerating and decelerating but ok when stable.

As the day progressed it got worse and worse, to the point where by the time I got home it was all over the place constantly and never gave an accurate speed reading at all.

Any ideas what could cause this? I'm thinking it's hopefully a loose earth, but if not what else might it be.

No other obvious electrical faults on the bike btw.

The mileage and revs seem to be working correctly too.

Cheers

Minski

Could be a good idea

to get in touch with the manufacturers of this after market part and give them the details of your problem if it continues and your earth fix doesn't work?(just a thought)

Don't know

how your bike gets used (all-year commuter, or summer toy), possibly water ingress somewhere or sensor / sender fault?
