Kevin Schwantz announces shock Suzuka 8hr comeback

Former 500cc world champion Kevin Schwantz will come out of retirement to partner Yukio Kagayama and Nori Haga for the 2013 Suzuka 8hr race. 48 year old Schwantz, who has been in retirement since 1995,will ride the GSX-R usually riden by Kagayama  in the Japanese championship. Well im glad to read my favorite rider ever, Nori Haga is back! But seriously? If we divide 8 by 3 that would mean Kagayama should run this Gixxer for a little more than 2.5 hours. Given his normal time of actually staying on a bike before crashing? Yukio will fold up at least 3 Ohlins forks in his stints. This whole idea sucks, plus Nori is a Yamaha man and i can't see him riding a Suzuki. Then again seeing Kevin ride should be +much for any bike fan!

Traditionally Nr.2's

have to do what they're told by the factory Rev.

Suzuka is a sprint race in the guise of an endurance one. Rub-a-dub-dub three old men in a tub, all put out to sea.

Denotating Kevin should stick to the classic racing and parade circuit.

Ive Already had something removed from here because I swore (sorry big brother). But I would rather hear about Cal and Val than Dads army goes racing.

This is MINT news and a real coup for WEC if it comes off..

THE two most popular racers of the last 25 years racing at Suzuka? They won't be able to print enough tickets..

Cal too..although he'll have to be a bit more creative with his Aussie-style whining excuses when Rossi makes him look silly on the same bike.

Perhaps they'll slip a stock motor in the R1 for his stint during pit-stops, just to help him out?

No Lorenzo & Pedrosa?..Hardly surprising really. Endurance racing is a hard mans game after all.

this is just what kevin needed! have fun and show the rest what you have got! i hear that that honda has a support class for puig, they bought him a couple yamaha electric golf carts for the green class and gave him a pair of danis undies so he dosent soil his own due to the high g force and speeds those carts can generate.
