Hahaha

Most poles, wins, and (equal most) championships.  The most successful rider of his time.

Incredibly, he achieved that while spending a year on a satellite bike and four years on a Ducati.  It's easy to dismiss how hard it is to ride a Ducati (as you obviously do), but Loris, Marco, Nicky, and Vale would set you straight.  Espescially Vale.  Couldn't quite manage a win on it.  Not one.

But you are right that Dani looked the goods when Stoner got injured.

Head to head Wosi?

Points don't lie... you get more points for finishing higher... that's what racing is all about... winning races (which Stoner's done most of), scoring points (which Stoner's done most of) & winning championships (which they're level on)... or are you talking about championship positions... Stoner's 8,1,2,4,4,1,3 works out at exactly the same average as 2,3,1,1,3,7,6 of Rossi but includes his rookie year on a lone satellite bike... take that away & there's no contest.

The same argument over & over... you just can't help talking about him.
