Insurance...Has it been worth it

Whilst on the subject of How many miles and how many Off's ................... How much have you spent on Insurance and how much have you claimed back ............would you say , it was worth it?

Personally I have paid for insurance on Bikes , Cars and Vans for 35 years.  No claims to date.

i dread

to think how much i have handed over.

Been fortunate to have as many as 3/4 bikes AND 4/5 cars at any one time for many many years. 1 claim about 9 years ago when my SL 500 got nicked from my garage, the bastards broadsided it and wrecked the wheels and front suspension. NO claims on bikes for 40 yrs+ yet they still want to bung the premium up every year. NO NO NO deff NOT worth it

NOT worth it

Scarey to think how much I have spent.  30+ years on the road. (some £15k between the bikes and cars)

Only ever made one claim - when a twat reversed into my car door and crumpled it nicely.

Each time I fell off my bike, I paid to get it fixed.

Yep...worth it....

I reckon I have shelled out somewhere in the region of £10,000 in bike insurance over the years ....but have received back around £15,000 - two write-offs (GSXR1000 and R1) plus one stolen (XT500).
