I have a bmw r1150rt 2002 with top red brake warning light flashing four times per second with bottom red warning on constant and no servo working obviously expensive.I remember a while ago MCN printed the name of a company that converts brakes to none servo operation  but I didn't own a bmw then and did not keep any info.is it possible to obtain the relevant info .thanks

Hmm

i should have thought removing the servo would be as expensive or more expensive then just having the system faults diagnosed and probably repaired?.Or maybe you just want the servo removed(don't know??).You could always contact Chris Dabbs (Dabbsy) for the MCN info you need.

I think kcmc has a point.  You might be better off consulting one of the non-main dealer BMW specialists.  Often you'll be able to get the repairs sorted for a lot less than you might think.  Check out some of the BMW forums for suggestions on a specialist in your area.

hi yes I could spend a fortune for a dealer to tell me I need a new unit fitted for a couple of grand but I seem to remember mcn saying they could be converted for a few hundred quid also removing any future problems these are prone to.as bike has only done 15000 miles do I pay possibly 50% of the bikes value for a part that only lasts 15000 miles not great economy eh.
