Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service offer free Biker Down courses

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service are offering free 'Biker Down' courses to local riders. The courses, which last approx 3 hours, include first aid, collision scene management and a discussion on why other road users sometimes don't see us and how to help them see us better. Over 100 riders have attended the courses so far. Further details from our Facebook page...

Biker Down

Seriously guys & gals , I can highly recommend doing this. I did this course with Kent fire & rescue last year, the guys were very accommodating, normally they held the course in the late afternoon/evenings by appointment , for one person to a group of up to thirty, but there was such a demand to do it from the forum group it was advertised on, that couldn't make a week day, due to working , that they opened their doors on a Sunday, giving up their free time,  the group ride down there was great, and we were all made to feel very welcome. Very informative and enjoyable and the few hours it takes, is just enough to teach you the basics ( without getting bored ) that could help someone in trouble or save a life. it's aimed at motorcyclists, as we appear to make up high percentage of road injuries but in truth it's aimed at everyone and really worth doing, and the best bit ... IT'S FREE :)

Not sure about this course but we all got a FREE... First Aid Kit as well, and it wasn't  a cheap nasty one from boots chemist ,,, which is always handy to have :)

so give them a call and book a place you will not regret it
