Punishment

Overtaking moves in motorcycle racing, whatever next, inform health and safety and get a risk assessment done.

Lorenzo

Whinge, Whinge,Whinge Lorenzo was the same with Marco I seem to remember. Any rider that becomes a threat, never his fault always some one else's. God forbid we should allow some overtaking, or any sign of aggression in BIKE RACING.

Webb shoots himself in the foot

with a 44 magnum. "If it was free practice there would have been penalties, but it was the last lap of the race."

So Webb acknowledges dangerous riding was involved, yet somehow due to it occuring in a race it's an exculpable 'racing incident'.

What if it happened in qualifying? What about at the start or the middle of a race? What if Lorenzo had gone down? Would race directions ruling be different? They're as splineless and inconsistent as they ever were.

It wasn't malicious, but nor was it ever likely to come off without heavy contact or running right off the track. Webb's an ex racer, he should know better. I refer to my earlier comment.

Nostro's right ...

... if this happens during practice rather than during a race, it suddenly become an offence worthy of a yellow card (?). It's either okay to ride hard or it's not. Webb has blurred the line even further.

Rossi  has banged into various riders in corners without any penaties. It is part of racing which I think is OK if the bikes are at slow speed.

World superstock 1000

Just watched ws 1000. and that was briliant racing very very close and hard racing. not several but multiple overtaking the whole race!!! and in all that hard fighting and not giving eachother space i had not once seen a dumbass action like mm did! now thats amazing...... was he maybe aiming at jl? was it desperate move? maybe mm need to learn from a lower class racing how he must pass a rider.
