Marquez just pipped the reigning world champion, taking pole by only 0.03 seconds, having recovered from a heavy crash at turn one in the previous FP4 session. However, the real shock of the session was Andrea Dovizioso, piloting...

WELL DONE CAL.....

Brilliant ride from the brit, just as predicted, both Ducati`s up near the pointy end,as predicted and one Alien doing what they do,winning. Some serious problem`s for JL,but more point`s and he`ll be back. As for Rossi, well what can you say,he could have had a 7th! Ambition out-weighed his skill, yet again.

Rain wins

Superb job done by Dani. I believe its his first Le Mans 1st class GP win,so it must be all the sweeter. I guess the mangled collarbone has faded to a distant memory. Props to Calvin and Marc doing what he does best. Relentless. Reminded me a little of his stunning performance at Estoril in 125 some years back. Ducati will be doing a rain dance for Mugello, until the track started drying Dovi and Nick looked to be a real double podium threat. Amazing skills shown by the front runners. The Dani vs Dovi battle was razor sharp while it lasted. Yamaha. Clearly George had issues and Valentino succumbed to pressure. Great save by Nick. Did Calvin suggest to Nakamoto that he fields another factory Honda for him next year? He certainly deserves a factory something ride for 2014. Oh wait !. He and Dovi earned a Dorna Sports M1 ride last year.
