Le Mans MotoGP: Pedrosa takes wet win, Cal second!

Dani Pedrosa took his second win of 2013 in wet conditions at Le Mans, ahead of Cal Crutchlow taking his best ever MotoGP finish and rookie Marc Marquez, as mechanical problems relegated Jorge Lorenzo to 7th. Andrea Dovisioso was the surprise leader off the line, making the most of his unexpected front row start to lead from Lorenzo and Pedrosa, before...

Great race

One of the most entertaining races in awhile. Dovi did great hanging in there for most of the race. Lets not forget that Hayden was very close to that group for a majority of the race. If it wasnt for Rossi's crash which forced him wide he would have continued to stay right behind Cal. Who knows if it was enough to stay with Cal the whole time, but, if he had theres the chance Marquez wouldnt have been able to close that gap so fast. Hayden typically is more of a strong finisher then starter, who knows, he may have been able to keep it up with Cal past Dovi. Either way Im happy to see Ducati up there. Cant even completely dismiss it as a wet race since it was dry conditions that put Dovi on the 3rd spot starting the race. It was awesome to see 3 manufactures battling it out for once for a really good portion of the race.

Yep pretty good race. For a few laps mid-race it was like the good old days - first 6 or 7 riders all in a train with a decent chance to mix it up and race for the podium. In the end Dani was both fortunate and superb. Marquez and Cal did really well and both factory Yams seemed without luck (the BenSpies syndrome). Pleasing that all the many Ducati's changes in recent months appear to be in the right direction, can only be good thing. I still think the Laverty project is as interesting as anything else on the grid at the moment.

Cal saying " i knew Dovi would crack under pressure"

Once again Crutchlow opens mouth and makes himself look stupid. Will the guy ever be able to help himself? On the same machinery last year Dovi finished in front of him 13 to 5.
