Cal Crutchlow savours career best second in France

Cal Crutchlow’s fantastic start to the 2013 MotoGP world championship continued in Le Mans yesterday when the British rider stormed to a career best second position. Riding with a badly swollen right knee and a small fracture in his leg after a heavy crash in Saturday’s FP4 session, Crutchlow mastered tricky conditions on a wet and then drying track to finish...

Top job

By the wooden toothed wonder . Bradls ride must surely be on the cards. Watched the post race interview with him last night and noticed a French twang in his voice. Very amusing. You could see why it took so long to pass dovi, that duke had some squirt out of the corners. Well done cal.

death, taxes and politics...

I can't believe Cal is talking about loosing his seat. In a world without politics maybe there would be no motoGP but that is not the case and Smith is allowed to produce, in the context of the premier class, poor results. However to be fair to those who placed Smith in the Tech3 team he could be a slow starter. I had similar feelings about Pedrosa and look at how he has stepped up to a new level. In my opinion Redding would plaster Smith on any bike. I sure loved that race in moto2 when Redding beat MM. What a brave ride. And to hear Redding talk? This kid is ready to go to motoGP. Smith out Redding in.

Cal's twang ...

... I suppose this is what you get when grunting is your first language. Put Pol on it.

Maybe Aussie

If Cal took a break from telling the world how shit his Yamaha equipment is he would have had a chance at a factory ride. Imagine he had signed the two year deal which was on offer, kept banging in the performances, then Rossi leaves and Cal gets to be Jorge's wing man.

Cal said Tech3 had no contract with Yamaha past this year when he signed... if he'd gone for a 2 year deal he could have been signing to ride Moto2 on Bradley's old bike!

Inspired wet race from Cal

considering his qualifying crash and his injuries.    However the next dry race will see the 'Status Quo' - 5th at best and 6th if he can't pass Dovi.

I'm pleased the chap is riding so well. The fact he's on a slightly inferior machine however, is something everyone knows, so he needs to keep his thoughts to himself in this regard. That's  if he ever wants the factory ride I feel he deserves.
