Bridgestone: No fault with Jorge Lorenzo’s Le Mans tyre

Bridgestone has confirmed that a thorough examination of the rear rain tyre used by reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo in Sunday’s French MotoGP race showed up no defect. Lorenzo suffered a nightmare in a rain-hit Le Mans encounter when he slumped from second to seventh and the Spaniard blamed a chronic lack of rear grip for his worst result since his...

Benny's right..Lorenzo rode the warm-up on the hard front, didn't like it so they threw in a soft..along with the dice. No cigar.

Rossi had bad rubber replaced Saturday after Bridgestone admitted a fault..perhaps Jorge thought he could use the same excuse..rather than own up to the panicky switch and cock-eyed settings.

I don't think his bike, or Rossi's, is a half second off and fully expect a better showing at Mugello too.

I do think there is a difference, though quantifying it is difficult.

Put JL on a Repsol and Dani on the Yamaha and I reckon Jorge would smoke him..hypothetically chuffing that is.

"Benny's right."

Wosi - you've sometimes been a hero, and now you seem like a good friend. We've both been there and back - just to see how far it was. But despite everything that's past, I still love your mind.

ffs DF?

If you are going to complain about bike advantages don't do it only when the rider or riders you favour are not winning.

I'm not complaining, just pointing out what seems obvious to me, and I'm no big Jorge fan. Sure I like Vale, but he's not in this argument 'till he's dicing with JL, if he can.

Yip there have been bike advantages since the dawn of racing. The M1 has been the best bike off and on for what, the last 8 years?

And now, it's looking like Honda have the edge. An obvious statement I'd have thought, and one that's being echoed by respected commentators, and their (Yamaha's) World Champion rider.

But for some reason it's an opinion that's attracting some fierce criticism. Just wonder why.

Rossi is a development God

.. and will almost certainly turn Yamaha's (or Jorge's) fortunes around by himself.  Like Parappa the Rapper, you just gotta believe!

Nice link Benny..

We know certain posters of Orange persuasion are not big students, preferring to spout their uninformed dogmatic opinions instead but, ffs do us all a favour and educate yourselves for once.

Your credibility levels are already at gutter level..pick your game up.
