Should I claim for the accident?

I was knocked off by a car driver pver the weekend. Luckily I didnt suffer any major injuries and my bike has got some superficial damage to paintwork and some internal damage that can cost about 80 quid. To my surprise the third party car driver seems to be more keen than me to claim and i have a feeling it might go 50-50 in absence of witnesses. I will lose 1 NCB and my car premium might go high as well despite me crossing the 25 years old threshold. So I am not sure whether or not I should claim? I have already spoken to solicitor and insurance company and yhey have started their due process but i have signed any paperwork yet. The other party hasnt responded to my message so i guess they too have claimed.. Any advises???

accident

Knocked over? Usually it`s knocked off.Any accident is your word against theres unless you have independant  witnesses which you haven`t.In one of my cases my ins com failed to claim but i claimed damages direct from the driver involved and kept full no claims bonus.

What was/were the situation of the accident and damages to the other vehicle?

edited the over bit

Basically I was filtering on the right side of the traffic when the third party driver suddenly turned right into me.

Speak

to the bike lawyer in the legal section of this forum  -  he'll explain everything you need to know.

Also, you don't have to go with the company that's approached you through your insurance. Go with a specialist firm for bikers.
