There's no doubting aftermarket exhausts makes bikes sound a lot better, but are they annoying or do they actually save lives? pollcomment

Seriously?

If you think a daft car driver is going to hear your noisy exhaust over the noise of their stereo/phone conversation then you're deluding yourself.  Most of the noise is going out the back, so your average halfwit car driver will only hear you AFTER you're long gone (if at all).  They only person who is going to benefit from a noisy exhaust is the rider ;-)

seriously

baffles out - people move the hell over (it's LOUD) a lot more frequently, it amazed me (went for a ride with them out one time recently) and it was instantly noticable..... however i have neighbors so 99.9% of the time, baffles in. Also don't forget that plod with the speed gun has time to make a brew and hide before you arrive if you have a loud bike :)

LOUD exhausts

Loud exhausts are just a nuisance and totally unnecesary.  My nephew has just ruined a perfectly good bike by adding an aftermarket racket-maker. Mind you, he is an adolescent teen...

Loud pipes

Hmmmmm....... Depends on what side I get out of bed in the morning.  Some days they are a pain; the noise sends out the wrong message and gives us all a bad reputation.  Other days I hear a bike on full chat and think OH YEAH!!!!
